Time to play the game!!!

Well as usual I am late again. I don't have a problem doing the things its just getting the uninterrupted time to photograph, edit and upload. So today for instance I had Cait on my knee trying out her scissors and wanting to cut up lots of paper - so I am having to monitor her and make sure its not a cheque, important papers, payslip or whatever is hanging around. Whilst doing this John is getting the hoover out - great till you realise he had it out yesterday and hoovered the fireplace out - before sweeping it so it is full of soot and so decides to empty and clean it on the floor of the lounge so currently I am in a fug of soot from the bag he burst forcing the cover onto the hoover - grrrrrrrrrrr. Still sorted that out and now supervising Cait colouring on her chalk board and pestering me for paper pens and "heyp Mummy" whilst John is in the bath after the allotment. Nice - I WOULD LOVE to be int he bath right now but no he is and then he is off to footie and back tomorrow. Oh and did I mention he wants the rest of the weekend uninterrupted to do an assignment.......Gee Thanks for that one!

Ok had my moan now so here is my game piece card. All I am saying is he owes me big time. I am waiting till I can get maximum value from my cards though!!!

** I have had a question abut what I used!! Years ago I was really into altering Dominoes and collected a large box of domino like game pieces through swaps and cheap shops etc. I still have a biscuit tin FULL of all sorts so raided it for this piece which is basically a six sided domino which uses shapes instead of spots for space on the reverse. I then used an old piece of felt with alcohol inks on and put some of the thinner for alcohol inks on it and reactivated it to blodge around on the piece which was originally a lovely creamy colour and is now a light pinky lilac with like a waterstaining effect from using the thinner. I stamped in Stazon once the ink background had dried out as if you stamp too soon the thinner acts on the stazon as well as that is alcohol based as well. It only takes a few seconds to dry really as it evaporates really quickly.

The image is from the Doodle That set in the UK Stampin' Up! Catalgoue and part of a set I am GIVING AWAY on Crafts by Carolyn Forum. If you enjoy wordsearches come along and see if you can find it and you could own this lovely set of 4 doodled images! (please note you need to be a member but thats no hardship - its a great forum :-) )

Lovely card, Rachel. I don't envy you juggling things as a busy mum. Happy Easter.

I really like your card but what did you use, it looks like a faux stone or lalique hexagonal shape ? Just curious...

Sounds like you're having a bit of manic time of things Rachel but it's great you found time to do a card for the dare.

I love your card, especially as it's in my favorite colours.
