Holidays

Well we came back last weekend but have been too tired catching up with things at home to even think about posting even though this is my home page on the PC - it just felt like too much had happened. And all my fellow bloggers have now got fancy twiddly bits on their pages so I have alot of catching up to do!!

House was lovely with the most fantastic views but I wouldn't have classed it 4 star to be honest - good but not that good - couldn't even leave us a smidge of cooking oil - I hate it when they are mean with what is in the house other than furniture - it makes the holiday more expensive so you have to go out and get stuff and then you don't want to pack it all to come home! So unless you know what to expect I have drawn up a self catering survival list - especially for the other Rachel and my future reference - lol.

Self Catering Sanity Box

Small chopping board
Sharp Knife and a Potato Peeler
Cool Bag - doesn't have to be a big one
Washing Powder and softner - your usual brand even if you decant say 3 washes worth into something else
Disheasher tablets and washing up liquid
Loo Rolls (at least 2)
Kitchen Roll
Tea towel and hand towel

Salad dressing
Cooking Oil
Gravy Powder
Salt and pepper

Scrabble
Phone Chargers

First Aid Kit
Paracetamol
Olbas Oil (Karvol or Vicks or similar for baby in particular)
Sun Cream
After Sun
Thermometer
Pair of nail scissors
Band Aids

Baby List
Sun Hat (I mean you really never know!)
Bottles and Lids etc
Spoons and Bowls if weaning
Food for a couple of days if weaning
Milk Powder (mines on prescription so I have to make sure I have enough for the whole time away)
Bibs bibs and more bibs
Nappies, Wipes, Nappy bags, Creams and small change mat all in normal day out "bum" bag as it gets called in this house.
Travel Cot and bedding plus any comforters they have or dummies etc
Wipe up clothes - muslins or jays etc
Clothes
Steriliser and bottle brush (or sterilising tablets and large bowl etc)

Let me know if there is anything you think should be added!
